Midwest Division Newsletter Archives & News Briefs

September Division Newsletter - and a SPECIAL EDITION Newsletter

W0FF (SK): It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Jim Glasscock, W0FF.  Jim lost his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease while in a home in Indianapolis, Indiana, near his daughter.  Before the recent move, Jim and Delores, his XYL of many years, lived on an antenna farm in Union, MO.  Jim worked for the St. Louis City police department where his W0FF vanity callsign matched his nickname; “Fearless Fosdick”.  At one time or another, Jim was president of the Zero Beaters, the St. Louis Repeater Association and the St. Louis-Suburban Radio Club (SLSRC).  W0FF was top notch CW operator and DXer.

A memorial service for all of his friends in the St. Louis area will be held from 10 am till noon on Saturday, September 22 at the Frontenac Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 10445 Clayton Road.
